1st day of 2nd and we're yanking brains out of cadavers. Feels like ages since I've had new material.
I just want to throw some numbers out there just to prove to you all how much you shouldn't listen to every word that comes out of my mouth.
I've said that out of the ~500 January 2010 1st semester students, ~200 students either failed out or chose not to come back. This is kind of the ratio that I've been working with when it comes to pass rates. And now from what I've heard, out of the ~270 May 2010 1st semester students, only ~30 students either failed out or chose not to come back.
And when you add on the people repeating 2nd semester and compare classes sizes (judging from the Anatomy Lab table assignments document), the current 2nd semester class (283) is bigger than the current 1st semester class (274).
Of course it all doesn't really matter.
But a lot of people like the numbers.
I like numbers sometimes, but there's too much work to be done to focus on things that don't matter. You pass/fail individually after all.

Pulled a brain out of a cadaver today. Don't ask me about Ross University pass rates.
