Don't you hate it when you take an exam and an hour or two later, you begin recalling the correct answers to questions that you now know you got wrong? You know that knot in your stomach that you get from that feeling? I have that now.
I know this isn't limited to medical school, but I think especially for timed exams like Anatomy Practicals, where you only have ~1 min per station in the cadaver lab to get it right before you're shuttled off to the next question.
About 5 hours ago, I took the 2nd Anatomy Practical exam of the semester. This was a rough one. This was much more difficult than the 1st practical and it sucks because Anatomy is 1 of the 2 subjects where I'm hurting. This isn't a make or break moment for me, but damn.
Specifically, how could I possibly mix up the right and left lungs based on the number of lobes the lung had? This was probably one of the easiest questions (from a total of 40 questions) and I made my answer based on the wrong lung. This one stings and I'm sure you all know the feeling when you realize the answer to a question much too late. It was just a memory lapse while under the gun of a timed exam. But that brain fart is going to cost me 2.5% of the total grade.
The grades don't get released for at least another day or two, but I don't think it's going to be pretty. Nothing I can do about it now except continue to study for Mini 3 and the Final.
