Mini 2 = No Bueno

I'll let the numbers speak for themselves:

Jonathan's 1st Semester Mini 2 Scores (Raw):
  • Anatomy = 10/21 = 48%
  • Biochemistry = 14/25 = 56%
  • Histology = 30/42 = 71%
  • Physiology = 14/19 = 74%
  • Doctor, Patient, Society = 7/16 = 44%
Last semester I didn't stick to any single study schedule or strategy.  Last time, each one of my scores was erratic, from one exam to the next.  This time I've stuck to what I thought would work and the pattern that's emerging is pretty clear:
  1. Anatomy & Biochemistry are my weak subjects.
  2. Histology & Physiology are my strong subjects.
I'm kind of sailing through 2 of my subjects and see-sawing back and forth from pass & fail on the others.

[I'm not too concerned about DPS (yet).  My score was surprising, but I did well on Mini 1 (earlier this semester) and I did well on Mini 3 (last time).  There's also a practical coming up in a couple weeks and I also did well on it last time (79%).]

I have a lot more thoughts going through my head right now, but I'll wait until the final scores are released (and see if any of my scores get bumped) before I vomit the rest of my thoughts all over this blog.

do you guys do anatomy practical like you walk around things with pins in it and answer questions? We did that and i always barely passed.

Yeah, same type of set-up. (I think the majority of schools do it this way. I was even tested this way in community college Anatomy, even though they had 2 cadavers and mostly bones and models.)

flashcards (handwritten, not premade or typed) saved my butt in anatomy- that and spending as much time in the lab as possible.
